President Bush visits Albania and is greeted by a throng of adoring fans -- maybe a little
too adoring. As you begin watching, note the president's watch on his left wrist. Under a minute into the video (around the 3:13 mark), someone swipes it. One second it's there, the next it's gone:
I wonder if our government will consider this an act of war and ask us to support an invasion of Albania.

Not very surreptitious about it either! Looks like that "adoring fan" grabbed his wrist with both hands and just manhandled the watch right off!
Of course, now the thief is thinking "Dang! All that for a cheap Timex Ironman!"
He must have thought he was getting a fancy two-way communicator -- like the one Dick Tracy wore.
According to "Inside Edition" this evening, and a White House spokesperson, Bush took the watch off himself and put it in his pocket (about the 3:05 mark when he puts his arms down for a moment). Perhaps it was to prevent somebody accidentally pushing the "nuclear launch" button.
Still, it was good for a laugh. It would have been something if he had turned all Chuck Norris on the crowd.
